Abstract

In January 2025, there was year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation in Mataram City of 1.02 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 106.29.

The y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices indicated by an increase in nine expenditure group indices out of a total of eleven group indices, namely: personal care and other services group by 7.91 percent; food, beverage and tobacco group by 5.11 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group by 2.62 percent; health group by 1.59 percent; education group by 1.57 percent; clothing and footwear group by 1.50 percent; recreation, sports and culture group by 0.73 percent; transportation group by 0.58 percent; and household equipment, equipment and routine maintenance group by 0.55 percent. Meanwhile, the decline in the expenditure group index occurred in the information, communication, and financial services group by 0.97 percent and the housing, water, electricity, and household fuel group by 9.12 percent.

In January 2025, Mataram City experienced month-to-month (m-to-m) deflation of 0.66 percent and the year-to-date (y-to-d) deflation rate of Mataram City in January 2025 was 0.66 percent.
