Abstract

In October 2024, there was year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation in Mataram City of 1.61 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 106.0.

Y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices indicated by an increase in ten expenditure group indices from a total of eleven group indices, namely: personal care and other services group by 6.24 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group by 3.03 percent; clothing and footwear group by 2.29 percent; housing, water, electricity, and household fuel group by 2.19 percent; education group by 1.57 percent; food, beverage and tobacco group by 1.25 percent; transportation group by 0.92 percent; recreation, sports, and culture group by 0.75 percent; household equipment, tools and routine maintenance group by 0.27 percent; and health group by 0.20 percent. Meanwhile, the decline in the expenditure group index occurred in the information, communication, and financial services group by 1.74 percent.

In October 2024, Mataram City experienced month-to-month (m-to-m) inflation of 0.03 percent and the year-to-date (y-to-d) inflation rate of Mataram City in October 2024 was 0.97 percent.
