Abstract

In December 2024, there was year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation in Mataram City of 1.92 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 107.0.

Inflation y-on-y occurred due to an increase in prices indicated by an increase in nine expenditure group indices out of a total of eleven group indices, namely: personal care and other services group by 7.51 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group by 2.77 percent; food, beverage and tobacco group by 2.67 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group by 1.79 percent; clothing and footwear group by 1.73 percent; education group by 1.57 percent; health group by 1.51 percent; household equipment, tools and routine maintenance group by 0.72 percent; and recreation, sports and culture group by 0.60 percent. Meanwhile, the decrease in the expenditure group index occurred in the transportation group by 0.33 percent and the information, communication, and financial services group by 1.82 percent.

In December 2024, Mataram City experienced month-to-month (m-to-m) inflation of 0.37 percent and the year-to-date (y-to-d) inflation rate of Mataram City in December 2024 was 1.92 percent.
