NTB, March 2019: CPI fell by 0.22 percent

In March 2019, West Nusa Tenggara experienced a deflation of 0.22 percent, or a decline in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) from 134.22 in February 2019 to 133.93 in March 2019. This deflation was below the inflation rate nationally recorded at 0.11 percent.For the West Nusa Tenggara region, Mataram City experienced a deflation of 0.17 percent and the City of Bima experienced a deflation of 0.40 percent.Deflation of West Nusa Tenggara in March 2019 was 0.22 percent due to a decrease in prices as indicated by a decrease in the index of the Foodstuffs Group by 1.11 percent and the Housing, Water, Electricity, Gas & Fuel Group by 0.21 percent. While the increase in index occurred in the Health Group by 0.77 percent; Clothing Group by 0.47 percent; Prepared Food, Beverages, Cigarettes & Tobacco Group of 0.25 percent; The Education, Recreation & Sports group is 0.05 percent and the Transport, Communication & Financial Services Group is 0.00 percent.The inflation rate of West Nusa Tenggara for the calendar year of March 2019 is 0.04 percent lower than the March 2018 calendar year inflation of 0.65 percent. While the inflation rate "year to year" March 2019 is 2.44 percent lower than the inflation rate of "year to year" in March 2018 of 3.30 percent.
