Abstract

In December 2018, West Nusa Tenggara experienced inflation of 0.62 percent, or an increase in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) from 133.17 in November 2018 to 133.99 in December 2018. This inflation rate is the same as the national inflation rate which was also recorded at 0.62 percent.
For the West Nusa Tenggara region, Mataram City experienced inflation of 0.53 percent and Bima City experienced inflation of 0.95 percent.
Inflation in West Nusa Tenggara in December 2018 of 0.62 percent occurred due to price increases as indicated by an increase in the index of the Foodstuffs Group by 2.40 percent; Prepared Food, Beverages, Cigarettes & Tobacco Group of 0.31 percent; Housing, Water, Electricity, Gas & Fuel Group by 0.06 percent; The Health Group is 0.02 percent and the Education, Recreation & Sports Group is 0.02 percent. While the index decline occurred in the Transport, Communication & Financial Services Group by 0.09 percent and the Clothing Group by 0.01 percent.
The inflation rate of West Nusa Tenggara in the December 2018 calendar year was 3.16 percent lower than the December 2017 calendar year inflation of 3.70 percent. While the inflation rate "year to year" December 2018 is 3.16 percent lower than the inflation rate of "year to year" in December 2017 of 3.70 percent.
