Abstract

In January 2019, West Nusa Tenggara experienced inflation of 0.51 percent, or an increase in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) from 133.99 in December 2018 to 134.67 in January 2019. This inflation rate is above the inflation rate nationally recorded at 0.32 percent.

For the West Nusa Tenggara region, Mataram City experienced inflation of 0.44 percent and Bima City experienced inflation of 0.76 percent.

West Nusa Tenggara inflation in January 2019 amounted to 0.51 percent due to price increases as indicated by the index increase in the Foodstuffs Group by 1.47 percent; Health Group by 0.57 percent; The Transport Group, Communication & Financial Services by 0.45 percent; Clothing Group by 0.32 percent; Prepared Food, Beverages, Cigarettes & Tobacco Group by 0,28 percent; Education, Recreation & Sports Group by 0.04 percent; Housing, Water, Electricity, Gas & Fuel Group by 0.02 percent.

West Nusa Tenggara's inflation rate for January 2019 is 0.51 percent higher than the January 2018 calendar year inflation of 0.47 percent. While the inflation rate of "year to year" in January 2019 is 3.20 percent higher than the inflation rate of "year to year" in January 2018 of 2.65 percent.
