In September 2023, Mataram City experienced inflation of 0.42 percent, higher than August 2023 which experienced inflation of 0.01 percent. Mataram City inflation is lower than the combined figures for the two NTB cities (0.46 percent inflation), but higher than National Inflation (0.19 percent deflation).
In September 2023, Mataram City experienced annual inflation year on year (yoy) of 2.19 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 114.63, lower than in August 2023 (2.75 percent inflation) with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 114.15.
The three commodities recorded as contributing or contributing the most to inflation are rice, purebred chicken meat and petrol. The three commodities recorded as experiencing the largest deflation were air transportation, red onions and purebred chicken eggs.
