CONSUMER PRICE/INFLATION INDEX DEVELOPMENT IN MATARAM CITY APRIL 2023

In April 2023, Mataram City experienced inflation of 0.44 percent, higher than March 2022 which experienced deflation of 0.03 percent. Inflation in Mataram City is higher than the combined figures of the two cities in NTB (inflation 0.38 percent) and nationally (inflation 0.33 percent).
In April 2023, the City of Mataram experienced year on year (yoy) inflation
by 4.46 percent with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 113.69, lower
from March 2023 (5.14 percent inflation) with a CPI of 113.69.
The three commodities that recorded the biggest share or contribution to inflation were Rice, Air Transport, and Gold Jewelry. The three commodities that experienced the largest deflation were Cayenne Pepper, Tuna and Preserved Cob.
