Declaration of the Implementation of the 2023 Agricultural Census

The President of the Republic of Indonesia, President Joko Widodo launched the implementation of the 2023 Agricultural Census (ST2023) at the State Palace today (15/5). A number of ministers, heads of institutions, central and regional BPS leadership, as well as representatives of ST2023 officers had the opportunity to witness the declaration in person.

In his report, Head of BPS, Margo Yuwono said that the implementation of ST2023 will start from 1 June to 31 July 2023. "The theme carried in ST2023 is Recording Indonesian Agriculture for Food Sovereignty and Farmers Welfare. This theme implies that the data from ST2023 are expected to become a valid foundation in the formulation of policies in agriculture," said Margo.

President Jokowi strongly supports the implementation of ST2023 to produce accurate agricultural data and invites stakeholders to support ST2023. "Once again I support the implementation of ST2023 so that this census really produces accurate, up-to-date and reliable data," said President Jokowi.
