Abstract
The aspects of people's welfare include several aspects, both outward and inward. Outward aspects related to the fulfillment of basic needs such as clothing, food, and shelter. It also includes meeting secondary and tertiary needs. The outward aspects tend to be quantitative. The inner aspect is related to the fulfillment of nonmaterial needs, such as taste
safe, happiness, etc., and tend to be qualitative. Because of the broad aspects of welfare, so in this publication only limited by quantitative aspects.
This People's Welfare Indicator presents aspects of welfare for which data is available and measurable. The description of people's welfare from various sides or indicators is expected to be able to show the achievement of development targets or as an evaluation of the work program that has been previously designed, as well as
can be used as a basis for local government decision making in the future.
Through the People's Welfare Indicator can be obtained a picture of the level of people's welfare such as health, education, employment, housing and the environment, poor population, consumption patterns and others. The statistical data used in the preparation of these indicators are chosen so that they can directly or indirectly provide an overview
regarding the conditions, processes and development of people's welfare.
Broadly speaking, the data / variables of people's welfare in the publication of the 2018 Mataram City People's Welfare Indicators are grouped into six parts. The first part is population data, covering among other things the population according to age and sex group, the ratio of dependents, the distribution and population density, and the age of the first marriage. The second part presents the health conditions of the population which concern the number of health facilities, health workers, health complaints, birth attendants and life expectancy. The third part shows the condition of the population's education which includes school facilities, school participation, literacy, and average length
school. Data on employment are presented in the fourth part of this publication, which includes working age population, labor force participation rate, employment opportunity level, unemployment, and employment. An overview of poverty and consumption patterns is presented in section five. Then in the sixth part, which is the final part, housing data is presented.
