The need for data in development planning and performance evaluation of government is needed. The need for up-to-date, accurate and continuous data will result in measurable and targeted development. Data on socio-economic conditions are needed to provide an overview of development achievements and can also be used by policy makers to evaluate development programs. Data related to people`s living needs such as clothing, food, shelter, education, health, security, and employment are needed to find out how far the achievements of development outcomes reach all levels of society.
