Abstract

In June 2024, year on year (y-on-y) inflation in Mataram City will be 2.93 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 106.30.

Y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by the increase in nine expenditure group indexes out of a total of eleven group indexes, namely: food, beverage and tobacco group by 4.84 percent; personal care and other services group at 4.06 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 3.65 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group at 2.65 percent; transportation group at 2.39 percent; education group of 1.90 percent; clothing and footwear group by 1.63 percent; recreation, sports and culture group at 1.59 percent; and the health group at 0.67 percent. Meanwhile, the decrease in the expenditure group index occurred in the supplies, equipment and routine household maintenance group by 0.54 and in the information, communication and financial services group by 1.60 percent.

In June 2024, Mataram City experienced month to month (m-to-m) deflation of 0.24 percent and the year to date (y-to-d) inflation rate for Mataram City in June 2024 was 1.26 percent.
