Abstract

In August 2023, Mataram City experienced inflation of 0.01 percent.

The two NTB cities combined experienced an inflation of 0.05 percent. Meanwhile for national

experienced deflation of 0.02 percent.

Inflation occurs because of an increase in prices indicated by an increase

index on eleven expenditure groups. Of the eleven expenditure groups,

six groups experienced inflation and five groups experienced deflation.

The top ten commodities contributing to inflation in August 2023 are rice and eggs

purebred chickens, river, lake and crossing transportation, tomatoes, air transportation, tariffs

hospital, rampela chicken liver, white cigarettes, bottled water and squid
