Abstract

Inflation occurs because of an increase in prices indicated by an increase

index on eleven expenditure groups. Of the eleven expenditure groups, seven

group experienced inflation and four groups experienced deflation.

The top ten commodities contributing to inflation in July 2023 are air transportation,

high school, garlic, ready-to-eat meatballs, tuna, purebred chicken eggs,

white cigarettes, beef, wine and sweetbreads.
